I am sharing a card I made based on sketch #159 on Unscripted Sketches.
It's hard to see in my amateur photo, but the edges of the card are inked with pink. This gives it a muted quality so that the red doesn't overwhelm the elegance of the inner paper. The two patterned papers I received in a swap I did with my RAK group (check it out here). The buttons and bling are also from one of the lovely ladies in my swap group! The pocket is a free svg file from SVGCuts. The stamps are both from a set from Studio G. I used Colorbox inks and then colored in the bird with a colored pencil. Thanks for stopping by!

ReplyDeleteThe patterned paper is lovely! Perfect backdrop for the pocket, the button and bling! The inked edges do soften the red. Well done. Thanks for joining us the week at Unscripted Sketches. We would love to have you play along again next week :)
ReplyDeleteLove that sweet little bird ... so glad you joined us at Unscripted Sketches.
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of inking the edges of the red with pink to tone it down a bit.... nicely done! Thanks for joining us at Unscripted Sketches this week! :)
