Stop by and check out these holidays as I am sure you are going to want to remember these holidays and include them in your card making projects!!!!!

We will have blog candy to the lucky recipient that remarks on each site along the way!

I chose to make a card for Yo-Yo day. Of course, if I make a card about Yo-Yo's I need to include some fabric yoyos. Now that Pamela (owner of the blog you came here from) sent me some pearl buttons my fabric yoyos and flowers have been greatly improved! For the actual Yo-Yo I made two circle out of paperboard and one circle out of patterned paper, which I then glued onto a paperboard circle. Then, I put a dot of hot glue on the center of the circle I didn't put the patterned paper on. I put the end of the cord in the glue, put the other circle on top, when it dried I spun it around and tied a loop on the end. If I knew how to make a slop knot I would have done that, but every time I need to make one I need to relearn. The background was inked with a stamp from the Delight in Life set from Stampin' Up using Colorbox ink and the edges of the card are distressed with distress ink from Close to My Heart. I also used distress ink on the Yo-Yo and on the yoyos to give them all an antiqued look.

On the inside I put in the sentiment I'll be there for all the Ups and Downs, cause I love puns! Since the stock I used for the background of the card was boring and this paper was awesome I used the negative image. Then, I have a ready made sentiment the next time I could use this! Don't forget to leave me some love, whether it be positive or constructive criticism. I like both!

Thanks for stopping by and mark your calendar again next month to see what Holidays to Celebrate on July 14th for the next Calendar Girls Blog Hop!

  7. Hello... just getting back to you for leaving a comment on my blog... It was referring to a flower stamp with a bee and was the Stamp N Plus Stamp N black and white challenge. You asked what the stamp was... you can find it here... http://www.stampaffair.com/catalog/international/internationalpg1.shtml

It's called Flower with Bee V3753
    Hope that helps, Kathy H.
