Chocolate Blog Hop

Next to diamonds, chocolate is a girl's best friend and in some cases it may even rank higher than diamonds. This hop takes some neat approaches to chocolate so I hope you can take the time to hop through and see how these crafters expressed their love of chocolate.

You will start at Lorby's World (http://lorbysworld.blogspot.com) but make sure you make it all the way to the end because Tee at One Scrap at a Time is giving away two files from The Cutting Cafe (http://thecuttingcafe.typepad.com/the_cutting_cafe/) to one lucky winner. Tee will have all the details on how to sign up for the drawing when you arrive at her blog.

So get your box of hidden chocolate and enjoy the hop...

I made a card that could be used for many different occasions. It could be an invitation to a chocolate party, or a warning from a lady to her man, or a sweet card to go with a gift of chocolate...

The card is A2 sized and made with different shades of Stampin' Up card stock. I used the lightest brown that I had for the base of the card, the next darkest, cut 1/4 inch smaller on each side and embossed with a Tim Holtz Alterations embossing folder for the background of the front of the card. In case you can't quite see it, it's clocks. I then sanded the embossing to make it stand out a bit more. I used a darker shade of brown and cut our letters from the Cupcake Cricut cartridge (say that ten times fast).  I finished off the front with some Orange Truffle twine from Trendy Twine.

On the inside of the card I used the center circle from a sheet of DCWV paper that was in the Sweet Stack. After cutting out the circle I distressed the edges and sanded the center a bit to give it a worn look. I was going to use that sheet to do a layout, but I really wanted to make a card... Then, I stamped the cake (Stampin' Up) and the cup of hot chocolate (Snag 'em Stamps) in VersaMark ink and embossed with Tim Holtz Walnut Stain distress powder from Ranger.

Thank you for coming today and now on to the sweetness that Ashley has in store for you.
